Is it Ever Cool to Hook Back up With Your Ex?

Aight world! I want some honest answers with this one. We all know how it feels to get it in one more time with the good old ex.  But is this really cool?  I mean, you call them your ex for a reason right? Let me tell you how I feel.  I feel that every once in a while you get a little vulnerable, and jumping out there with new partners is scary for most people.  It's safe to go back to the one you've been with.  You know what's like, you know if they got something or not, you know all there is to know to stay safe.  But let's take into consideration your feelings.  Unless you are just numb to a sexual connection, how can you not start feeling some type of way after sex with the person you used to be with on a deep level?  I think sex with the ex is nice for the moment, but terrible for the future.  It's best to just keep things strictly platonic, other wise you're only messing with your own emotions.  IDK... you tell me what you think! I'm listening!!!

Also, make sure to tune in @ crescentcityradio.com on Friday from 6-10pm and listen to me The First Lady of the Real Talk Family w/ Ya Boi DJ Dnice! We will be talking about this topic, and I'm sure it's going to be interesting. Don't Miss Out!

Do Politics Really Matter?

Ok so I know that's a deep question. But I'm really curious. Last week on Real Talk Radio it got really heated in the studio because everybody was mad that black Louisiana residents didn't get out and vote.  There are a lot of amendments that could really change some things for the worse such as a 2 year minimum jail sentence on weed charges.  Now I clearly see how people should be concerned about this, but from what I have observed and experienced, people just don't have much faith in politicians anymore.  I mean if there is enough hype around voting, then people will get up and vote just to say they did and feel like they're part of the "in crowd," but other than that, they don't really care or know what it's all about.  Take the Obama campaign for example, as soon as the rappers and other famous people made voting look cool, that's when the young blacks took voting as something to do, but before that, there was no excitement about it, and I still don't feel there is.  What we have is a bunch of kids voting because now it's cool to do so, not because they know they have to.  My girl Princess from the show made a good statement, she said that she doesn't have faith in the political system because she feels everything is already planned as far as who is going to win is concerned, because it's all based off money.  I have to say I agree with some of that.  We all know this political game is very corrupt, and there are some cutting of corners going on, but does that mean that if enough people come together and vote, our voices still won't be heard?  I can't answer that question, and a lot of other people can't either. Why? Because we don't REALLY know how the system works, which is horrible, because these elections shape our future as a whole.  There was also a comment made by @djdnice504 on the show.  He read a girl's comment on twitter saying that she was disappointed that Obama's name wasn't on the ballad.  She really didn't know that we only vote for presidents every four years.  Now this concerns me, because I wonder how this happens! This is why I ask the question, "do politics really matter?"  Of course it matters to some, but for the most part, it seems like it doesn't for the majority, and I just can't understand why.  I mean, I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.  I'm just speaking from history.  You let me know how you feel, but please be prepared to back yourself up when you respond because I honestly want to know where you're coming from.
